Words of Wisdom from Mighty Buckeye
Chief’s Corner
November 2006
As we fast approach Thanksgiving, I want
to take a moment to say how much I am thankful for my wife and family. At a time
in the world where there are so few things we can count on, I am truly blessed
to be able to come home to them. I am sure there are many in this program that
feel the same way as I. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving this year
and that you are able to take some time to reflect on what, in your lives, you
are thankful for. Something else I am thankful for, albeit slightly lower on the
list, is this program.
With that in mind,
here are some quick program notes. Thanks to the Discoverers for doing a great
job with the Hayride. My girls and I had a good time, although my youngest did
not think the “not-so-scary” hayride was “not-so-scary” enough. Thank you to the
Trailblazers for all the fun had at the Dinner Dance. It was like a trip back in
time.
The last thing to
mention is the fact that candy money is due. Everyone please do what is
necessary to end this fundraiser and get all the monies collected. Remember that
if your daughter sold 3 or more boxes they earned a t-shirt, so sizes need to be
gathered as well.
